On the Types and Varieties of Drall
Updated: Oct 3

There are of course the main Drall we are familiar with. Six-limbed with hooked appendages and covered in black, hardened chitin. But there are at least five other varieties.
The hoppers which can jump twenty feet high. The stinkers which release chemicals that can put people to sleep, cause suffocation, and other maladies. Others have been known to fly, while another variety is said to drink blood. Their hive-leaders are thought to have eight limbs and function more independently.
Despite rumors to the contrary, the Drall are not omnivorous but vegetarian. Though cruel to an extreme degree to their enemies, they do not consume them as the Makao do. While the Makao appear almost entirely carnivorous, the Drall appear to be almost entirely herbivorous, preferring to consume fresh or partially rotted plant matter.
They do not have much in the way of family life, breeding in very large numbers at once. Their culture is enigmatic and entirely alien to ours, devoted to Xallax body and soul.
