The Practice of magic involves the contemplation of the gods and singing their songs back to them. These songs can have a variety of effects on the natural world.

The three divine laws of magic are:

I.               Magic is Elemental

II.             Magic Must Harmonize

III.           There is No Magic Without Sacrifice

The divine laws cannot be broken. The gods will not allow it.

The laws of the Kitran Order are:

I.               Life Must Be Respected

II.             Order Must Be Maintained

The Dark Cantirs honor the gods and receive power despite serving Xallax and flaunting the Kitran laws. The Dark Cantirs of Azmavor serve the Snake Temple.

Cantirs live and serve in temples. People bring them sacrifices and problems to solve. Magic is elemental according to each of the seven gods and their domains. Singing these elements together allows for spellcraft to occur. There are Cantirs of every intelligent race save dragons and Drall.[1]

These half-breeds are becoming more numerous. Thankfully, they cannot reproduce on their own. The amount of power they can wield without proper training makes them dangerous, as the case in Westport proved. -Gr. Anaximander 1386
